Les motivations de l’artiste sont multiples : observer, comprendre et développer un échange vivant avec les salariés, mais aussi trouver l’inspiration grâce au contact avec les ouvriers et à la compréhension de leur savoir-faire et de l’histoire de leur métier. Particulièrement enrichissante, tant pour l’artiste que pour le personnel de l’usine, cette expérience démontre qu’art contemporain et industrie peuvent faire bon ménage. Ainsi, le partenariat permet aux différents intervenants de partager leur savoir-faire et de développer un nouveau regard sur leurs activités respectives. Etudiants et écoles de la région, visiteurs grand public et acteurs du monde économique et culturel : près de 300 personnes ont eu le privilège de découvrir ce site et ce projet exceptionnel à l’occasion de la Semaine de l’industrie. Ce projet a bénéficié du soutien du ministère du Redressement productif et du ministère de la Culture et de la Communication.
